Happy Birthday Mary Ward! Her birthday fell on 23rd January. In the course of the weeks ahead we will raise money to support the work of the Sisters internationally and link this to  the celebration of the  Centenary of  the vote for women  in this country, which falls on February 6th 1918. The History Department are leading the celebrations and Ms. Thornton, Head of History has sent a letter  to you today, via your daughter. A copy is also available on the website in the Letters Home section under the Parents tab. 

You may know of the cause for Mary Ward's Sainthood is being promoted by the Loreto Sisters and CJ Sisters? The 23rd of each month is the day when we are asked to focus on this cause and I have attached a prayer for you which you may like to use. 

It is 433 years since Mary Ward was born.  When she was living out her vocation, could she have imagined how her work would be continued today?
