Alexandra Wins a Chemical Engineering Scholarship
Aspiring chemical engineer Alexandra Patching has been awarded Imperial College's President's Undergraduate Scholarship.
Alexandra, who is currently in Sixth Form and studying Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry and Physics at A Level will need to get two A*s and two A grades to meet demands of one of the most sought after colleges in the U.K. The scholarship means that she will receive a £3,000 grant towards her first year of university study.
Alexandra said: “I would like to complete a doctorate and then go onto work in chemical engineering.”
Head of Loreto Grammar School Sixth Form Helen Jordan said: “Imperial College is one of the world's top academic institutions with a particularly strong reputation for chemical engineering so to win this prestigious scholarship is an outstanding achievement by a talented and immensely likeable young woman.”
