The Entrance Examination for Year 7 entry in September 2020 took place during the morning of Saturday, 21st September 2019.
Results will be posted on Friday, 11th October 2019.
Please post your daughter's original Baptism Certificate as soon as possible, following the instructions outlined below:
Baptism Certificates are required in accordance with our Admissions Policy 2020 Entry. This must be the original certificate and a certified translation where necessary. It should be submitted up to and including 26th July 2019. An extension to this date can be arranged but you must contact the Admissions Officers by e-mail to inform them. The deadline would be 31st August 2019.
Please send to: The Admissions Officer, Loreto Grammar School, Dunham Road, Altrincham WA14 4AH. You should include a stamped addressed envelope, with the correct postage, for its return.
If you can't find your daughter's Baptism Certificate then please WRITE to the Priest in Charge of the Church where the baptism took place, enlcosing a stamped envelope (only small - the certificate forms are usually A6 size) addressed to yourself. You should say the name and date of birth of your daughter and when you think the baptism took place. (Please advise that this document is required for school entrance). You should get the required document by return of post.
Offers of places are made on or after 1st March 2020 through Trafford L.A, in accordance with their published timetable.
If an application for admission has been turned down by the Governing Body, parents have the right to appeal to an Independent Appeal Panel, i.e. after 1st March 2020. This appeal must be sent in writing to the Clerk to the Governors at the school within 20 school working days of refusal. The parents must give their reasons, in writing, for appealing and the decision of the Appeals Panel is binding on the Governors.
