Well-being Overview

Parents' Well-being Evenings

As stated in our Vision and Values document “..we work in partnership with parents and carers, the primary educators of our young people. We keep them well informed and involve them fully in the life of our schools and colleges.”  It is by working in partnership with our parents/carers that we ensure that our girls receive the very best pastoral care. To develop this crucial aspect further, we introduced Parents’ Well-being Evenings in the Autumn term of 2014. These evenings have covered a range of topics and have utilised a variety of approaches such as presentations delivered by external speaker and staff led workshops. Parents are regularly asked for feedback relating to these Evenings and this feedback has been used to inform future Well-being Evenings.

Topics covered so far are;

Eating disorders- November 2014 led by Ms Greenhalgh, Adolescent Clinical Lead and Day Care Lead at The Priory, Altrincham

E-safety-February 2015 led by Mrs Wright

CSE and Building Resilience-June 2015 led by Mrs Green

E-Safety- December 2015-led by Mr Pietrzak.  (Youth Engagement Officer, Trafford Housing Trust)

PSHCE and SRE-February 2016 led by Ms Miller

These evenings have been very well received and parents’ comments have included; “really impressive that Loreto is doing so much in regards to Well-being”, “ informative, thought provoking, reassuring and insightful” and“an enlightening evening allowing me to go home armed with information to help my daughter.”

Some resources from these Evenings have been made available in this area of the web-site. If you have any further questions regarding these evenings, please Mrs Green at School

You will be kept informed by letter the date and topic of the next Parents’ Well-being Evening and we very much look forward to seeing you there.
