NCTL Teacher Subject Specific Training : Modern Foreign Languages
We are pleased to have been designated as a Lead School to deliver a programme designed to provide training for non-specialist MFL teachers and MFL specialists who:
Are not currently teaching MFL and may need refresher training to enable a move back into MFL delivery
May be looking to teach a new language in addition to their current language specialism
The aim is to help schools build up their internal capacity to meet future demands the EBacc and Progress 8 may bring around quality MFL provision.
The programme will run from October 2016 – June 2017 in the first instance and will provide a blend of methodology, pedagogy and language skills development. The majority of sessions will be delivered as twilights and we will be offering upskilling in French, Spanish and Italian.
All training will be offered free of charge and schools who have suitable candidates or who would like further information are advised to contact the Programme Lead, Vicky Atherton at email@example.com

Working in collaboration, the five Trafford Teaching Schools join together to present the OLEVI Teaching and Learning Programmes.
Now well established and highly valued CPD opportunities, the OTP (Outstanding Teacher Programme)and ITP (Improving Teacher Programme) are run by experienced and licensed trainers.
Each Programme is delivered at several venues over the academic year (to offer diversity of location) by the same Lead Facilitator thus providing a stable point of contact for the group.
Courses are advertised throughout the year and applicants can book a place with any of the schools involved.
