Modern Foreign Language

The school has a large and successful M.F.L department.  Students study French in year 7.  In year 8 they pick up Spanish  and study both languages until June of year 9.  French and Spanish are offered as GCSE options for study to GCSE. 

AS and A2 French and Spanish are available in the sixth form.

GCSE French and Spanish are followed by a large number of students.  The subject is taught in mixed ability classes with over 90% of all classes gained good (A* - C) grades at GCSE.

The school enters students for exams but does not teach, Greek and Turkish GCSE's.
