Posted on: 25/08/2022Brilliant GCSE results 2022Following the outstanding success of A Level students last week, congratulations to GCSE students who continue the trend. 29% of all GCSEs were at grade 9 with 75% at grades 7 - 9. Two students, Holly and Annamaria, achieved all grade 9s and 54 students achieved 10 grade 7 - 9. We are very proud of you and look forward to Speech Night at the Bridgewater Hall in September when we can honour your achievements! 57% of all grades achieved were at A* - A and 86% at A* - B. 41 students achieved all A*/A grades and 12 all A*. Posted on: 16/05/2022Open Day 2022 for Year 7 entry in 2023The Open Day for Loreto Grammar School is taking place on Saturday 25th June 2022. This is for Year 7 entry in September 2023. You do not need to register to attend our Open Day. The Entrance Examination is on Friday 23rd September 2022 from 9am until 1pm. Online registration for the Entrance Examination will be live from 10am on the 25th June 2022 and will close at 1pm on the 31st July 2022. Read More
Posted on: 14/07/2021Year 7 Reading clubDuring the spring and summer terms, students in Year 7 met to read Catherine Johnson’s Race to the Frozen North: The Matthew Henson Story. The novel is based on the biography of Matthew Henson, an American boy who found himself on a remarkable journey after facing a childhood of hardship and discrimination. When they finished the novel, they were inspired to be creative, and decided to reproduce the first chapter of the book in audio book form for fellow students and their families to enjoy.
